The Last Minute Band will show up just about anywhere, anytime. The fun begins the moment they start to play, with songs that paint a vivid picture of life in America on the farms, and in small towns, with a dry sense of humor that will keep you laughing. You never know who will show up at the last minute from harmonica players to singers and anyone in between. Listening to the Last Minute Band is a great musical experience. .

Band Bios
Steve Devenny- (Vocals/Lead Guitar/Fiddle)
Steve has been playing music as long as he can remember, and is heavily influenced by bluegrass, folk and Motown or as he fondly refers to it as Mo-grass. Steve loves music that is slightly off center with a twisted sense of humor…it’s his way of working through his desire to be a comedian in another life. Steve will play anytime, anywhere, as he say’s "it gets me out of the house and sometimes keeps me from getting back int”.

Jerry Fretwell (Bass Fiddle)
Jerry’s mom told him as a young boy playing guitar that he would never be a finger picker but you have great rhythm, and so a bass player was born. Jerry is always ready for a jam session at his music shop, Fretwell Bass and Acoustic Instruments, located in Staunton, VA. His style includes slap bass, giving the rest of the band a real rhythm to follow. His wife Mary Jane helps with scheduling and running sound board, keeping everyone in the band on their toes.

Marta Szuba (Vocals/Washboard)
Marta has been singing in choirs since she was seven. Her inspiration comes from the folk era of the 70’s with a little dash of swing, blue grass and classical mixed in. She has played the guitar for a number of years but has just begun exploring the nuances of the washboard, "Who knew a washboard could be so fun”!
